Here's one

page 10 says that a risk with discarding Treachery cards is that a Cylon can play a "Sabotage" card and damage Galacitca. But Galactica can't be damaged when it is away, page 16. So use the chance on NC to get rid of Treachery cards when Galactica is away.

Now, can you discard any cards you want at any time, or do you have to wait for a reason to do do, like too many cards, traveling between ships, Crisis card effect etc.

The resistance HQ uses the treachery cards and you can execute human or Cylon players, so maybe it'll be handy to get rid of all those pesky treachery cards.
