lol, consider it done buddy!! Yay, road trip! Prepare for French rolly car goodness!

Cool, and PS, I have generated a new thread that may interest you (not quite a thread jack!)

I'm gonna be doing the same as I did at the Alton Regional - going straight from working overnight! IT'S ALL *yawn* good...

Hopefully by then I'll know whether or not I can come to Nats, so I can tell ya personally. And if not, I'll come to apologise, on my hands and knees. HANDS AND KNEES I SAY!

I'm hoping to come to this. Its just on the High Street, right?

Awesome, who are you? happy.gif

Cheers all, had a blast! Thanks to Steve for the event, Smithers for Bryan AND King!, Ricky for the Zombie schenanigans and of course everyone else who made it a blast! Now to build the awesomemest King deck EVA!!!

Yep, thoroughly enjoyed this even if I did get swindled out of first place (no, I'm not going to shut up about it lengua.gif ).

And the awesomest King deck is one thig, but it will fall to the power of Brian.

who won just wondering and curious and stuffs so this is long enough to post lol

Mark won on strength of schedule, playing as banned Chun Li. I came second with King.

Due to yet another cock-up by the tourney software, our first round results were wiped out. My win in that round would have put me in undisputed first place, hence my continued grumbling. sad.gif

If it's a report you want Jon, this is what you get.

Well, I came out of work (lol, night shift) at around 5am, and walked over to the station to catch a train with Joe and Alex to Aldershot. So most people are already thinking "working a night shift and THEN going to a pre-release? You're crazy!" Yes I am. I dragged my sleepy carcass to Aldershot for a Tekken pre-release, because I saw so much in the Tekken set after the Colchester one, I wanted more. Now.

At the tournament we all got a copy of Jin Kazama* and Astrid**, plus one random promo, the latter of which we could use in the pre-release. My promo was Heihachi Mishima*, who I ended up playing as after pulling a god pack of characters from Warriors Dream and a T. Hawk starter (plus lots of fire attacks). Though I lost most of my matches due to forgetting about resource chains (they don't apply in Colchester pre-releases), I saw a huge amount of potential in Heihachi. However, this was not my deck of choice.

I have been building a Rashotep deck for some time now, firstly off Death then changing to Earth. Basically because Throws are pretty strong, and Rashotep holds off pesky character abilities and his support gets rid of the rest. But when gathering up all of the Tekken cards I have, I found out I've been collecting a lot of King cards in case I needed a change of character. This was a good chance to make the change now I had playsets of most of King's cards through trades.

So, switching out all the Rashotep stuff and putting in King's, I tried the deck out. Does a Turn 2 of Cobra Clutch, Flinging Half Nelson, Flinging Half Nelson, Path of the Master E for clearly over 20 damage sound good to you? Well I don't think Alex's Ivy deck liked it.

Anyways, we celebrated the pre-release with Steve, Mark, Craig and Rob by having all you can eat Chinese, well that a long banter in which I struggled and failed to stay awake. Somehow though, through the journey back, I managed to stay awake by the aid of Joe feeding us with deck ideas (good idea we did because it kept us alert and helped pass the time). So I got back at midnight, went straight to bed, and got up a 9am for another day at work >_< Still tired while posting this now.

You are the hardcore king of UFS though dude......................... gran_risa.gif

It reminded me of playing against Spite after one of his night shifts at Rock City. It's always amusing when your opponent's snoring in between rounds. gran_risa.gif

Snoring? Oops. I sowwy. I remember hearing about Jack having to go to work inbetween the Nats, that sounded like a pain (and that was before I started night shifts!).

Anyways, still enjoying King now even though I've had a try at Astrid* with Paul's foundations and it's just as brutal. Want some more copies of Astrid** to improve the deck, plus round off those cards I only have 2 or 3 of.
