I wanted to make some simple models for the debris-tokens, but without destroying some of the x-wing ships. So I just used cardboard and wire

Here you can see the actual result. Maybe it inspires someone to something even better

Oh I like it- I've always been a bit sceptical of cutting up ships (never worth it in my head) but those are really cool alternatives that definitely work.

I'd like to know how you've made them- are they mounted on the actual tokens? Are they removable so ships can still park on them-essential detail for me, my oppenent seems to bribe the asteroids to support the rebel scum :')

Hey, thanks. As you can see here, I've made a new base, that is placed above the original tokens, so that I can remove the debris-model each time:

Here are some wips of the base:

My new base is made of two thin cardbard elements:

The wire is pushed through the top surface of one cardboard element:

The two cardboard elements are glued together:

Now I have a new base with a long wire coming out of it. This wire I used to wrap the debris model and make it connected to the base.

Love it! I chopped up some Micro Machines for mine, so I didn't have to damage precious X-wing ships.
