Hey Arch, personally, i would LOVE to see your build of Promo Guy. I've ran a version of Guy at 3 different events with varying success (Top4 at the Santa Clara AoP being my best finish), and i also had an Order Promo Guy build that was 'decent'. Unfortunately, i no longer own any BRT (long story, but suffice it to say, i believe you're running the Set that i USED to own). Anyway, i'm not going to Worlds this year, so there's obviously no chance of us playing against each other gui%C3%B1o.gif , and i'm a HUGE Guy fan (been playing him since Final Fight, and then again in the SF Alpha Series), so...if you wouldn't mind it, please hit me with a list here: [email protected]

Thanks, man! And, good luck at Worlds this year!

After seeing Talim in action, I think she has a lot of possibility. That R is pretty potent against certain decks, and a built in speed boost is really nice. Plus, all three of her symbols are pretty decent now.

I really think she's underused strictly because there's not a lot she can be abusive with, and, up until recently, if you were using air you were probably killing with Feline spike (something Talim doesn't do much with). She has a lot of potential I think, I just haven't found the right build to tap it. This tourney told me that the deck was running too slow for the current environment so I've been thinking of ways to speed it up. I might post a decklist in a couple of days so I can get suggestions.

*clears throat*

Talim IS amazing! Even in the Makai Spike days, I've yet to meet an opponent who could block ANY attack Talim threw. Her Speed boost + Wind Dance = pretty much instant unblockable. And yes, her R is just another way to keep a lot of attacks at bay.

Totally missed you at the regional. It is a pity you could not make it :-(

I wanted to be there very badly, but my (lack of) finances prevented that trip from occuring. It just means the SF Bay and LA Area need to hold more 'major' UFS tournaments! Ya dig?! Lolz. Next time, fo sho!

Yeah, I had a blast, but then again I top 8ed at the event. It was so much fun, I did so many things in this tourney that I could not have top 8ed and still be happy.

I was forced to play against both Felicias first and second round. I was like "Come on!". First round I was able to live through 7 Feline Spikes at multiple two. I was pretty surprised myself.

Then second round I lived through 6 Feline Spikes and then died to the seventh. I had to play a friend that built my deck. That sucked.

Then the greatest moment for me in UFS. It had happened in the fourth round. I turned three another friend that plays in our area every week.. And not just any ole turn three a wopping 56 DMG unblockable attack. (Sorry man I had to do it)

Then I had to fight for my spot for the top 8 spot. After that I heard that I had to face Archimedes for the third time in competetive play. I lost but that was a given, oh well.

It was again a great day and I had a great time. Too bad I was running Hugo, NOT.

P.S. 56 DMG UNBLOCKABLE:

MWAHAHAHAHHA
MWAHAHAHAHAH
MWHAHHAHAHAH

Sorry I get a little carried away.

I'm actually surprised you don't see her all that often. I was the only person in the regionals running her and to my knowledge I haven't heard anyone talking about her much. I love how fast she is though. Stuff like Omnidirectional cluster bomb can become a 9 speed very easy with her (wind dance plus her E:) and makes for easy momentum. Plus don't even get me started on how awesome Mark of the Beast is with her (nothing like a 9 speed for 8 damage on a lowly 5 difficulty). I just wish I could find the right attacks to make her shine. Oh well, now that the regionals are over I can start tuning the deck with suggestions from people. I'll probably post it by the end of the week.
