I was facing a Rebel squad (Han Solo, Chewbacca, Gideon, Gaarkhan) and it worked relatively well. The Rebels won, but only by 1 point! I will need to play less aggressively with IG-88, as I lost him way to quickly. Otherwise, the squad deals a decent amount of damage.
