To those of you who have Tide of Iron and Battleore, how would you compare the two?

Entirely different. Other than both involve war. There is a longstanding comparison of TOI with Memoir '44. Since M'44 is the same game system (by the same designer) as Battlelore, reading those threads is probably your best bet for answers. Search the TOI forums for those.

I agree with Belloq. BattleLore and M44 aren't exactly the same, but any comparisons you read between ToI and M44 will probably tell you what you need to know. And there's PLENTY of such discussion at BGG, just to name one place you might look.
