Joffrey B. (Core)

By Castorp, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Ok, let's suppose Joffrey (Core) and a couple of other Lords are simultaneously killed during, e.g., Valar morghulis. I read in the FAQ, that you can still win the game if he claims one power for himself, if it's the last power you need.

Now two question:

Can he trigger his response 3 times although everyone dies simultaneously?

Suppose some of those Lord characters have power from Infamy or Renown, this power is not lost during the moribund status? So it counts within this moment for winning?

Leveraging the power on characters while they are moribund is fun. In the CCG days, I had a deck that used 5KE-Kings Landing (which lets you kneel the location and claim 2 power for your House when a King or Queen dies) and a bunch of Kings/Queens. I really only needed 13 power to win because when I hit 13, I'd reveal Wildfire as my plot, kill a King and get the 2 power from King's Landing for the win - even if the King that died had a bunch of power on it!

(That's a long way of saying "yes, power on a moribund card counts toward the win.")

Thanks a lot.

I will try it tonight.
