The Yu'vath who made this thing are described as evil sorcerers, so I think if you find one of them who is able to create such a device, it is possible, as long as you are ready to make a dark pact with it. But I don't think they are linked to the Mechanicus. Any tech-priest possessing or trying to build such things would be declared a heretek etc.
However it would definitely be fun to have a pyromancy gun:
Player: I pick up the gun, select the "Holocaust" fire mode and pull the trigger
GM: Okay, the Empyreal flames burn everything within a radius of 6m. You take 5d10 damage without any reduction .
Player: Urrrggghh!
What, none remember the old Kai-Bolter? From the old Codex CSM?
The Kai were a very advanced peaceful alien race that had the misfortune to get conquered by Chaos Space Marines. They had to use their intellect to create new, powerful weapons for their new masters. They managed to create a version of the heavy Bolter that could use the warp to power/create it's projectles.
An Astartes sized Heavy Bolter with warp-loaded ammo ...
It would most likely look like this

i remember that gun. loved taking it against stupid over powered marine lords.
u got the rules pretty much in line with what i was thinking, maybe drop the pen to about 10
from france
personnaly i wonder about the archeo hell gun or hell pistol sorry i haven't the adventure right now. they make a reference to what seem a book of weapons.
