One potential evil name; Nina Williams

WOW!!!

I just saw the spoil of her character and just dropped jaw. However many mixed thoughts came into mind as well... such as; Which symbol will work best or symbol combo (I'm thinking air/void) and how will her ability really linger in an actual game. True you get to pop down one card, potential check and frightening card, but also get to practically Glimpse of Fate them... I think that was the card... oh well if I'm wrong.

What other thoughts and ideas do people have?

I didn't even think of using her to screw with your opponent's CCs. If only Vast Resources were still legal so she could actually do that perfectly :

Where is the preview?

I just proxied up her character and tried her out with just air and thought she was too straight on the offense to screw up the block checks your opponent can have.

Air/Death was entertaining for having my own control defense when the opponent had their own control shenans

I haven't tried Air/Void or Death/Void just to be curious

Ugh, I am going to be SO pissed if people attempt to build her off mill; that is NOT her intention.

you know somebody will its just the way the game goes....and there are alot of cards that are used in ways that arent intended its what makes this game fun, trying out new combos and doin things that other people wouldnt think of

what i want to do though is abuse Abelia's friendship with her and still be able 2 screw with thier checks itll be fun times

seriously... just like actual fighting games, the abilities are there and present so use them if you want to.

though using her for mill was... a little odd but she works well if block check rigging for your offense

Screwing with their blocks is gonna be awesome. And the potential mindgames, too. "You need to topdeck a 6 to block. Do you think you had enough 6es in the top of your deck that I couldn't help but give you one?" Or if they want to try to play a reversal. Oh man.

THE FUN SHALL RETURN AGAIN TO OOFS

Whatever works works, right?

Truth be told, I think she's too slow for conventional mill. Plus she doesn't rock All or Earth, two symbols that turtle fairly well. Death and Air are good offensive symbols (well Death more hybrid), but their mill capabilities on their own are garbage.

Are you sure that's not the intention? She has the potential to snipe attacks off your opponent's next draw, letting them draw a mess of foundations, letting you keep milll them without worrying about your life total dropping. When I get my hands on her, and after we get to mull over her support, I'm hoping to build a hybrid aggro/mill off of Death/Void.

Not sure the playtesters/Hata would make a char in these new sets that is specificlly made to mill. People hate losing to it and I've heard both Hata and Horvath absolutly hate it. One of our players made an earth stall/ mill deck. Know what the outcome was? 4 players are now refusing to ever play standard ufs ever again.

Her support is probably like Zhao's...yes she RFGs things, but it isnt enough to win just through those means.

Agreed that milling is definitly not a fun way to win a game, but you also have to think of her own fighting style... assassination wasn't it?

so representing the deck as your fighters mindset of attacks and so forth is a decent way to view that she's killing them off either internaly (sp?) and so forth

Whatever, I'm going to be using her offensively and defensively, possibly off Void to take advantage of, what else, Aquakinesis =)

totally Aquakenisis for the wins.

I think I prefer aggro is a semi-best option for her, though I do like being defensive and rigging more.

Let's review: a character Form ability. Current counters? Tag Along.

Combined with discard, she has the potential to pitch her opponent's attacks, and selectively place one in the discard pile, while filling their hand with gray. Since it's a Form, Dan and Rashoptep can't shut her down. She can stall for a turn or two, building with impunity, and then:

Fix her opponent's checks, and go in for the kill. Kind of like promo Lord Raptor, except less squishy. Admittedly, choosing which card goes into the discard is very sniper-like, but it is more than a little overpowered.

Remind me again why Chunners just got a taste of that sweet ban-hammer?

on another note you could play her in legacy and rip your opponents attacks away from them so you can contemplation them to death

True that Tag Along is still able to stop her F but also she can be used to obliviously aim those snipes at any other Tag Alongs she can come across before that even happens, or fill her with Death Void anti R stuff to not even care about Tag Along and stuff anyway.
