I would just like to see a Legacy pack once a year with core reprints. We could get a ton of mileage out of that.

QFT. Give me 12 chapter packs and a legacy pack with reprints from 2002-2007 and that would keep me going indefintely with this ssstem.

Even if the Legacy Pack followed the same system as the CPs - 10x3 and 10x1 for 40 total cards?

I'd prefer the format of the ITE Legacy pack, but honestly, I'd take whatever we could get. :)

There were so many great cards in there for me as a newer player. I bought three of them just for the Paper Shields and Milks, but I didn't mind doing that for the Maester stuff, House Dayne Knights, Iron Mines, Guard at Riverrun, Darkstar, and plots. Tons of good stuff you could use in multiples.

Another consideration is that these would have the new art format, which I know some people don't care about, but I think is a factor when purchasing. And some of you guys are mentioning cards I've never laid eyes on outside of Tzu's site, so I'm sure I'd be buying three of them if some of the older cards were re-released.

I would also like to see a legacy pack once a year. 40 classic cards. One time each per pack.

Seeing as how my interesting suggestion was being evolved toward anyway, I'll trhough it out there less-than-fully researched.

How about a cycle of chapter packs that were nothing but Legacy Packs for each previous block (Westeros, Ice&Fire, Valyrian, Winter, IronThrone and FiveKings makes 6). My initial thought was to find out if the ITELP had sold out, and how hard would it be to have them repackage the same item removing the Collectible and making it the same form-factor as the CPs, and using white borders. Then I though, it's called the ITE "Legacy" Pack... why not rework it to include solely ITE block cards, and extend the concept to all 6 blocks. Perhaps using the Promo Cards and Premium Starter Exclusive cards to pad out 5KE edition.

(Yes, I realize this transcends the concept, but 40 cards from a block are not going to truly convey the environment, and I'm sure FFG would pick them to fit/fill out the LCG environment, so spreading them around might be nice.)

Or, they could do something similar to this as a box expansion, if that form-factor is something they are going to continue to do. I particularly like bloodycelt's idea (have I said that before?) regarding the concept of an Arryn/Clansman expansion, or maybe a Maesters vs. Magic setting. That's a conflict that I see rising in the books. Heck, even a historical Blackfyre Rebellion setting, assuming you can diversify the characters enough. (yes, I'm sure this is prohibited by licensing, but it's the thought that counts. Is Robert's Rebellion (Bara/Targ), Balon's Rebellion (Stark/Greyjoy) or the Vulture King (Lanni<Tyrell>/Martell)* within "living memory?")

*Yes, this is pushing the context, but I don't want to use the Jaime/Cersei pairing with Elia/Oberyn scenario. :/

LUke, I'm unfamiliar with the Vulture King term. Care to enlighten me at some point?

I too would not be against s Legacy pack separate expansion. We were talking the other day about how the ITE block is perhaps the best and most rounded block that has come out, and made the game incredibly fun. Sure, we woudlnt' get everything from the block, but the alt-claim effects, the solid introduction and use of the crests, and dual house characters were amazing. Every block has something from it that could be useful int he new model (and as ktom points out there is a whole new player base that has never played the game before and has no interest in in-store play we need to start thinking about it this way), and the LP idea is the best way to bring all this stuff into the environment.

The Vulture King was an outlaw, kind of like the Kingswood Brothers, but in the mountains between Dorne and The Reach. This was even before Dunk and Egg's time. He is mentioned in The Hedge Knight and again briefly in SoS as a traitor.

~Forgive my sarcasm but after the third LCG Robert Baratheon & Arya Stark etc. i somehow think that such a reprint would look like this:

- Westeros block: Edddard, Catelyn, Robb, Arya, Tywin, Jaime, Tyrion, Cersei, Robert, Stannis, Renly, Melisandre, Balon, Euron, Asha, Theon, Daeny, Khal Drogo, Viserys, Ser Jorah (20 out of 40 cards)

- I&F block: Edddard, Catelyn, Robb, Arya, Tywin, Jaime, Tyrion, Cersei, Robert, Stannis, Renly, Melisandre, Balon, Euron, Asha, Theon, Daeny, Khal Drogo, Viserys, Ser Jorah, Arianne, Red Viper, Obara, Areo Hotah (24 out of 40 cards)

However the idea ouf a yearly 40 card reprint pack is very interesting.

Luke, my man, you are brilliant! A cycle of chapter packs like that would be absolutely amazing. I can even envision the cycle name "Through the Ages" we could have a really solid highlight list that it would be a blast to play with again. Who wouldn't love to see WES Harrenhall back for instance?

~ Or ffg could just sell a 40 card pack of paper shield and milk of the poppy. Could have an eagle on the cover and call it Never without Honor.

Personally a 40 card legacy format deck with staples like Middlefinger, Storm Raiders, King's Hall, The Eyrie, PTTQ, Massing, etc as a "starter" for Legacy Highlander would be nice. (This would not be LCG legal obviously...)

Hmmm...I'd buy x6 of the CP just so that each house can have a Middlefinger!

People would want to play with Westy Ned, Cat, Arya, Robert, Mel, etc.? I figure if they reprint all the blocks in this format, you would only need to get 1 of each unique over the entire run of reprint chapter packs. So you reprint 5KE Ned, AHoTa Cat, VED or WED Arya,5KE Robb, AHoTh Tywin, VED Jaime, VED Tyrion, etc. Maybe 2 copies of the Kingsguard characters, one in house and 1 neutral.
