Environment persistence question

By zeb, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Hi,

In CotDP, the Mythos Environment card "River Breaches the Levees" states 2 Exhibit items need to be placed in Merchant District and Rivertown streets and then can be picked up by investigators. If this Environment card is replaced by another one before the items can be picked up, are the items removed from the board ? In general, are there persistent alpects of Environment cards ?

It's a CotDP card, so no guarantees. I do leave them out there. Another thing is whether it's "end their turn" (as written) or "end his movement". If you want to be a stickler, you could argue that if you pick up the EI, you don't need to interact with any monsters in that street, since your turn ends.

I'd probably classify "A Dark Wind Covers Arkham" (again from CotDP) as a persistent one, since it lowers your max Stamina by 1, meaning if you were at full health, your max dropped, so did your current, but when the Environment goes away, max goes back up, current remains at 1 less max.

I always remove them yes, following golden rule number 1: screw the team.

We leave them out. They washed up and somebody's going to pick them up, they just don't dissolve. We leave the ghosts and manics out too if no one kills them.
