Marvel Heroes - Rules PDF?

By dth2, in Legacy Game Discussion

Hi there

Does anyone (FFG?) have a copy of the Marvel Heroes strategy board game English rules in PDF format? If so, I would be very grateful if I could get a copy!

Please contact me at: [email protected]

Best Regards

Dorian

Are you still in need of the English pdf? I just acquired from a friendly fellow on www.boardgamegeeks.com.

Let me know and I would be happy to forward them on.

WHOA! WAIT! Why is there no Marvel Heroes section on this site? I can't believe I never noticed that.

Guess you're not a true fan gran_risa.gif .

j/k

Heh you literally had me laughing Dam. You have no idea how funny that comment is for me. I just had someone else tell me that, sadly in a serious tone.

Thanks for the laugh. I needed the support.

Back on topic I emailed FFG to find out what's up with no Marvel section.

The main reason is MH isn't supported anymore, I don't think.

So we just let it die? Interesting. And I am the one that got in trouble for pointing out the lack of support (including fan support) FFG allows dead games. I still think an awesome variant FFG should do for Twilight is make some more official tiles for planets or special areas, such as a white dwarf tile that could explode any minute and you have to roll before entering or exiting to see if the blast goes off. Then just replace it with an empty solar system. This could be useful for creating blockades that force the opponent to take the chance.

Sorry to get off topic again.

FFG could easily have made a template for us to make more heroes and villains and cards for the game. Can't wait til some one hires me for an MMO or Board Game company. So that I can prove that heart and care easily equal more money and support than just spitting out expansions.

Now if the problem had to do with Marvel telling them to pull the plug then I can totally understand to reasoning not to support it.

Ugh...I bet I get in trouble again. So to be clear. It is not that I hate FFG. I love the games and the creative minds behind it. I am concerned however that its marketing is headed down the wrong path. That is why I fight so hard to keep the dead games alive. Dead meaning not selling/producing anymore and alive as in the amount of attention it still gives to the customers that purchased it and wanted to see more done.

If "we" means fans, then no. Been slow of late, but BGG Marvel Heroes section has seen plenty of fan action over the years.

Roberto Di Meglio said over on BGG:

"Yes, the game is out of stock and the license has expired."

And Thaadd chipped in as well:

""As for the future of the game - we are continuing to support it (in terms, of replacement parts, rules questions and the like) - but there are no current plans to reprint it. As a game, it is a stand alone, so in terms of dying - it exists as itself, and is not dependent (or I have always viewed it as such!) on added upgrades and expansions and such.

It's a partner game for us, and these do vary in terms of availability for reasons that I'm not always privy to (and frankly are not 'external' information in many cases). We print some of Nexus's games, they print some of ours, and according to how the market reacts to the titles they might get reprinted right away, intermittently, or in some sad cases, not at all. I can't predict the future, but all I can say is that at the moment there is nothing planned."

Thanks for playing,

Thanks so much for clearing this up. Dam.

I emailed about this a while back and never got a response. I had a feeling that licensing was what it was. That is why I made sure to mention that it could be a factor.

Again Thanks. Dam the Unofficial FFG Rep. LOL not sur eif that beats my status as a FFG Super fan. Good question for Support. lengua.gif

lol

"Dear FFG, is an Unofficial Rep higher than FFG Super fan. In other words who gets to sit at the adults table and who sits with the kiddies?" heh can't wait to get the email response.

On a side note: Thaadd if you see this, you are awesome! Wish others who I won't name where just as awesome and caring towards customers as you. Keep up the good work hope to see you in marketing one day. Your heart is in the right place for it. Marketing is not about the numbers its about pleasing the customers and as a result earning sales.
