I would guess not.

So, it's not printed icons, just icons.

Here's a random printed thought - does an insane character's skill count as 0 or a "printed" 0 -- i..e, could you discard insane characters with Rotting Away?

I had the same question a while ago, and got an answer from Marius that even printed skill/cost is 0 for insane characters.
