I really love what I'm seeing in this thread.
Props to KawaiiMistress for reminding us about Crouching Stance. It was one of my favorites.
Big props to Theo for the second Launcher suggestion:
"Launcher: X -- E: If this attack deals damage, your opponent's next attempted block this turn gets +X to its block modifier."
To be balanced, large launcher values, like Launcher: 3 or better, should be on pokes (attacks that deal between 1 and 3 damage, maybe 4 max).
Small launcher values, like Launcher: 1 or Launcher 2, could go on mid-damage attacks, like 4 to 7 damage attacks. The speed of the Launcher attack could also be factored in.
It's a great idea. It equates to an effective speed boost, but since it wouldn't technically be a speed boost, it wouldn't be affected by things that return an attack to its printed speed.
