A Game of Thrones Joust World Championship
Compete head-to-head in the ultimate showdown of the Joust World Championship on Saturday, August 15th, at 1:00 PM . (Registration begins at 12:00PM, please report to the TO early if you are planning on participating in this tournament, as any player not registered once the tournament has begun will not be able to compete in the event.) Players will compete against each other head-to-head, through several preliminary Swiss rounds (depending on attendance), cutting to a single-elimination top four. The final four will play off against each other until only one player remains. This player will be crowned the A Game of Thrones LCG World Joust Champion.
The World Joust Champion, in addition to other prizes, will get to help design a card that will be released in a future A Game of Thrones: The Card Game set!

A Game of Thrones: The Card Game Joust World Championship Deckbuilding Rules: Your House deck must be at least sixty cards, with no more than 3 copies of any card, by title. Your plot deck must contain exactly seven plot cards, with no duplicates. Your plot deck and your House deck may not contain any card that contains the words "House X only," unless House X is the House you are playing. The legal card pool for the A Game of Thrones Joust World Championship includes any non-banned cards (see below) from the following sets: A Game of Thrones Core Set , A Clash of Arms expansion block , A Time of Ravens expansion , and King's Landing Chapter Packs 1-3 ( City of Secrets, A Time of Trials, and The Tower of the Hand ).
A Game of Thrones Melee World Championship
Rise to the top of the Melee: participate in the A Game of Thrones Melee World Championship, on Saturday, August 15th, starting at 11:00 AM . (Registration begins at 10:00AM, please report to the TO early if you are planning on participating in this tournament, as any player not registered once the tournament has begun will not be able to compete in the event.) Players will compete against each other in multiplayer play, through several preliminary rounds (depending on attendance), with tables being randomly mixed and assigned at the beginning of each round. After the third round, the field will cut to a top four (by score) "final table". Those four will play one final game, and the winner will be crowned the A Game of Thrones LCG World Melee Champion.
The World Melee Champion, in addition to other prizes, will get to help design a card that will be released in a future A Game of Thrones : The Card Game set!

A Game of Thrones Legacy World Championship
Bring out your old A Game of Thrones cards for this classic tournament on Thursday, August 13th, starting at 4:00 PM . (Registration begins at 3:00PM, please report to the TO early if you are planning on participating in this tournament, as any player not registered once the tournament has begun will not be able to compete in the event.) In the Legacy World Championship, all non-banned cards (see below) and promo cards from any A Game of Thrones CCG and A Game of Thrones LCG sets can be used to build your deck in this competition.
Players will compete against each other Joust-style (head-to-head play), through several preliminary Swiss rounds (depending on attendance), cutting to a single-elimination top 4, until we determine a winner. This player will be named the A Game of Thrones World Legacy Champion!
A Game of Thrones Legacy World Championship Deckbuilding Rules: Your House deck must contain at least sixty cards, with no more than 1 copy of any card, by title. This is a special tournament intended for new players. If you've just gotten your
A Game of Thrones
Core Set
, and have read the rules or watched our
instructional video
, then you are ready to participate in this casual but competitive tournament.
To play in the
A Game of Thrones
LCG Core Set Showdown, just bring a ticket to the event (or a generic ticket) along with your
A Game of Thrones
LCG Core Set (which you can purchase from the Fantasy Flight Games Booth (#811)), to FFG HQ in the Card Game Hall (Hall F) and you will be entered in the tournament. You can also bring your friends and split the decks from one Core Set amongst yourselves. FFG staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each table.
The tournament will be played Melee-style (three-four players per table, randomly seated at multiple tables.) The event will be one round, with one winner per table.
A Game of Thrones Core Set Showdown Deckbuilding Rules: You must bring your own copy of one of the preconstructed decks - Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon - from one copy of the A Game of Thrones LCG Core Set .
A Game of Thrones Gen Con League
Are you just getting started in A Game of Thrones: The Card Game and looking to get a few games under your belt without having to participate in a World Championship-level tournament? Would you like to meet other A Game of Thrones players and square off all weekend long in casual games? Then look no further than the A Game of Thrones LCG Gen Con League, starting at Noon on Thursday, August 13th at FFG HQ in the Card Game Hall (Hall F).
The way the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game league works is simple:
Show up at FFG HQ with a ticket for the event (or a generic ticket) and you will receive a ribbon that you can attach to your Gen Con badge, plus ten exclusive league tokens ( While supplies last.) Over the course of the Gen Con weekend - Thursday, August 13th to Sunday, August 16th - find anyone wearing a league ribbon and challenge them to a friendly match. ( Be polite! Don't challenge anyone while they're eating or participating in another game, for example. ) If you win the match, you can take a league token from the other player. You may not challenge the same player twice in a row - try to play everyone in the league if you can!
You may do this as many times as you like during Gen Con and at 11:00AM on Sunday, August 16th , come to FFG HQ and the person who has collected the most league tokens will win a special prize!
The A Game of Thrones: The Card Game Gen Con League is a great opportunity to meet other players and to get some experience playing the game in a friendly and casual way while you're at Gen Con.

A Game of Thrones Legacy Draft Event
Play A Game of Thrones LCG in the classic limited format of the Legacy Draft on Friday, August 14th, starting at 7:00 PM . (Registration begins at 6:00PM, please report to the TO early if you are planning on participating in this tournament, as any player not registered once the tournament has begun will not be able to compete in the event.) In a draft, players must build their decks only from a very limited pool of cards and make the best of what they can get. A great way to level the playing field in the random format.
Draft materials will be provided, as well as legacy product. Space is limited to available product.
Players will draft their cards and play in multi-round Swiss tournament (number of rounds depending on attendance), cutting to a top four, single-elimination finals.
This event is suggested for more experienced A Game of Thrones players, but all are welcome to participate.
