Edited by All Shields Forwardwhat makes you think that will happen? When they don't announce anything it will be awesome watching this thread implode.
THIS....IS....MADNESS !!!
What makes you so sure there will be an announcement?

"I'm not saying there won't be an announcement,"
"When they don't announce anything it will be awesome..."
The Wave for Armada has ships that we do not have in X-wing so my guess is those ships are coming to X-wing. Obviously the ones that fit, not the capital ships. Hopefully there will be some cool stuff at Celebrations tomorrow.

Just the tip of a Star Destroyer.
Personally, I think it's too difficult for a design studio to continue releasing ships that are both balanced and distinct from existing ships. At some point they need to say "There, the range is complete and we will not be releasing any new models".

I was using conjecture.

Why do they have to be distinct? I'd rather get new ships that are similar to existing ones than more repaints.

"an opinion or conclusion formed on the basis of incomplete information."
Good, you have Google.

Personal prerence I guess. I hate having multiple options that are all basically the same thing. An A wing and an X wing are distinct from each other. I'd rather get no new ships at all, than get a new ship that was functionally identical to an existing one.
I think it is okay to have some overlap, as long as they offer different strategies and ways to play.
Also because this is Star Wars they will still be profitable. People will pick up their favorite ships regardless because it has meaning to them beyond simply being a component for a game.
ONE MORE DAY!

Exactly. The game is first and foremost a Star Wars game. Everyone wants their favorite ships to be represented. To have those ships denied just because someone else's favorite ship already fills that mechanical "role" is... annoying.

All of the movie ships have been released and much if not all of the most popular EU ships are out there. Sure there are some but the most iconic we already have. When your talking bout 'someone else's favorite ship' you will begin to reach in to obscurity. While that seems just cool for you it is equally annoying for most others. The 'it's identical to an X-Wing in every stat and dial but we made it into a new fighter because it was in a comic books 30 years ago and besides someone will buy it' model dilutes the game.
Also and most importantly if things continue this new ship which is simply a different model of ship that exists already, and that only 1 out of 100 players will recognize or want, will most likely come with cards most people will want. This of course will will start another rant thread and turn off more people.
I'd rather look at my ships knowing they are distinct and fill unique slots in the squad and strategy of play.
But that just my 2 cents.
Question: If I you give me a penny for my thoughts and I give you my 2 cents, who gets the change.

I'd be more worried about who handles the exchange rate.
Okay guys. It seems everyone is confused as to what this "madness" everyone is talking about really is.
This. Is. Madness:
That is all. ![]()
Well I didn't say make the exact same ship as one that already exists. In fact I said the complete opposite so that argument doesn't make sense with what I said. I agree, making the exact same ship as one that exists would be dumb, it's not that hard to add diversity with this system.
Can I play with madness? \m/
Yes, go home with anyone you just met at a bar.
