To begin, I am very new to this game and have much to learn of tactics and ideal movements and such. I am going to start playing in tourneys soon and I will listen to input from anyone about these builds.

Both builds are the same point total, but play very very different in relation to each other.

Aggressor Suppressor is meant to me a suppression type build with low to moderate damage output, and the reason I chose Flechette Cannons AND Ion Cannons on both is because I wanted both to fill either role depending of the situation and set up on the board. Flechette Cannon and Ion Cannon combo has the potential to lock down a target completely and if outside of their firing arc, with stress and an ion token, they can't do anything besides move 1 white forward and keep stress. While locking specific ships down, the boost action and IG-88's title gives them both constant dodge tokens and with 3 evade and a dodge token, not too much is hitting them. The Veteran Instincts, of course, is to keep them attacking first most of the the time and since they are both the same pilot skill, it is easy to coordinate who to lock down. I can see larger swarm type builds being a bit problematic, but with fire control systems and IG-88 B's pilot ability, the smaller ships should be no problem popping.

The Royal Black Squadron is a fun build revolving around keeping the enemies attention with the Interceptors and flanking them with Whisper. Ive only been able to play test this build once, but I ended up winning on time. One Interceptor was taken out pretty quickly, but the other kept the other ships attentions long enough for the Phantom to mow through 2 B-wings. Whispers high pilot skill allowed him to plan movements and attacks more effectively and Gunner gave Whisper the extra fire power in case of a miss (which rarely happened dude to 4 attack die). Having high pilot skill with Advanced Cloaking Device is a godsend. Come out of stealth, Attack, and if they're not dead get a target lock and go right back into stealth before they have a chance to attack you.

I'm still on the fence about which of these builds to use at an upcoming tournament. I would also like to hear feedback as to what I should do to enhance these builds.

How would you play them and why?

Would you change any cards or pilots and why?

Are there any specific tactics that I need to use with either of these builds?

Which build would you choose?
