Bomber Keyword

I understand that there is already other topics about this, but I still don't quite understand it.

Does it mean when you roll a critical that counts as 2 damage instead of 1?

Or if you roll ANY amount critical it adds 1 to the total amount of damage?

When a squadron with Bomber is attacking a ship, it does not ignore [Crit] results like other squadrons do. So a squadron with Bomber essentially rolls attack dice against ships as if it was a ship.

The wording is quite strange. You ignore the Crit result when making an attack as normal. Then you activate the Bomber special rule that adds a point of damage and a critical effect for a Crit result. So, in effect, you subtract it and then add it back again.

Crits by default do 0 Damage when a squadron is involved (either targeting or defending). Bomber makes them count as a normal result (do 1 damage) and allows squadrons to resolve critical effects, just like ships.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up guys.
