Just got my pack and I'm sleeping it up now. The quest is rated at level 4 fwiw. (Winm)
Angmar Awakened #3: Across the Ettenmoors
Well let's not be hasty but... One play one fairly easy win.
Quest spoilers ahead...
Yeah, agreed. Played 4-player, had a very rough start: from setup, we had the side quest that makes you damage your heroes when you spend resources, and then during staging we got the side quest that makes you lose your hand. But even with that rough setup, we were able to turn it around for a win.
I realized late last night that I missed the trigger which requires you to keep a side quest in play during the first stage of the quest, so discount my first win. I played again this morning and it was much tougher, but I did manage to win (solo).
Escape from Mount Gram is DL5 and this is DL4, but I feel this is a harder quest than EfMG. (At least for my deck obviously.)
This AP is now available at the Book Depository! I haven't wanted to get my copy from the states due to shipping costs, but now I've finally placed an order.

Definitely agree with this. Quite a bit easier than Wastes of Eriador, though. I beat it on my second run-through (two-fisted, with a Rossiel-Silvan deck and a Splorfindel/Idraen/Eomer one), but it took some canny decision-making along the way. I thanked my lucky stars for those Safe locations; I hate weather!

Yes, easier than Wastes on the whole.
Just got my copy in the mail today. Can't wait to try it out this weekend.
*begins sleeving cards*
Found this quest relatively easy, Safe locations are just so helpful. Played it twice now. Enemies aren't too tough actually. I mean, they aren't pushovers, but they're not on the caliber of the other Troll cards we've seen. Encounter side quests and Safe locations give the players some insane rewards. Not a bad quest, had interesting mechanics but, preferred Wastes.
Being able to quest hard and take out nasty side quests quickly makes this go a lot easier. First time through I threw everything I had at Scavenge for Supplies and made it through on the first turn thanks largely to Eowyn and Escort from Edoras. I forgot what I played (I think it was Herugrim, I didn't have much) but team mate played Faramir for free. Travelled to Secluded Cave, we each drew 3 cards and hit double treachery on the next quest phase (ignoring both because of Safe location) It was pretty much over at that point.
Second time through we didn't get as lucky, but still cruised through with minimal difficulty.
Dang. They need to ramp up the difficulty. It's starting to get to where quests are boring unless you have the NM pack. I mean EfMG, Intruders in Chetwood, this new one, TAC, Pursuing the Uruk-hai and Isengard, all are fairly easy. I guess I'll just have to keep replaying Black Riders NM and HON series NM.
Understand: they're are people with limited card sets that are finding these quests impossibly hard. That's the line the developers are trying to toe. I don't know the answer, but clearly some of the players that have have more complete card sets and want to play pure solo aren't being satisfied.
Just found out my local store has this in stock like a week earlier than I thought it would!! Picking up my copy tonight!!

As always, this is somewhat subjective and dependent on the decks you play. I didn't find anything in Treason of Saruman terribly easy myself. And is "TAC" The Antlered Crown? Because I've never heard someone complain about *that* one not presenting enough of a challenge...
I think we should have a, better difficult up dowm system then now. Now I mudt to wait for Nightmare cards to enjoy a quest…. Otherwise is to easy… why we dont have a 3 level straight away from the box? Easy, standard and nightmare?
Then everyone will be happy straight away
Except for the people with limited budget who can't afford the increase in price that it would bring + people who find the normal mode challenging enough on it's own.
They could release the nightmare packs at the same time as the normal one, but not in the same pack. That would be good.
NM packs seem well on the way to catching up with regular ones. Maybe the plan is to eventually release a NM scenario just a short while after the standard version.

Man, looking at this card makes me hungry...
Wow so I had a different experience to you guys and had my ass handed to me on my first attempt...
During staging first turn I had a side quest with surge appear first (making that three quest cards in play..) and then Weight of Responsibility which then revealed a copy of pressing needs... (changing the current quest from Lie Low to Make Camp), shrouded hills and cruel mountain troll. The last card was another copy of Savage Trollspawn. All three Trollspawn and the Mountain Troll then engaged both decks due to not placing progress on Lie Low.
I managed to overcome this horrible start but the following turn I had Aradors Bane appear during staging and two more trolls came out and then engaged again due to not placing progress on Lie Low....
The following turn was even worse and I did not think I would come back from it (damage all round from treacheries...) so conceded.
The second attempt I did MUCH better and ended up getting a hard earned victory in which I explored every single side quest and three of the four safe locations. Pretty awesome quest, going to dive into a third attempt shortly.
A few cards I am finding fairly devastating are No Rest, Coldfell Giant, Aradors Bane and Lie Low. Weight of Responsibility is just awful in this quest as well.
I don't think I want NM packs to be released with the regular quest. The whole idea of NM is that developers get a chance to see what kind of strategies people are using to beat the standard mode, and then they design the NM pack specifically to crush the common strategies. In the end it makes the quest much harder and forces us to think up new strategies.
Here's one example: In Stewards fear many people would stay at stage 1 until all the objectives were out, so that they could pick them all up in stage 2 to get through the quest quickly once the plot activated. NM put a stop to that, and I'm glad the developers waited to release NM so they could combat that strategy.
I would rather suggest an officially sanctioned "hard" mode, like deal 1 extra shadow card per attack and don't collect resources on the first round. Then come out the the NM packs later once we see the emergent strategies.
