Vic Star Destroyer and Imperial Star Destroyer side by side!

By Jut, in Star Wars: Armada

I have not seen this posted yet, this was from the GAMA event a few weeks back, this pic was buried pretty good, I saw it that first day or two the convention broke, and didn't save it! It took a while, but I found it again!!

How do you embed photos?

Here is the link;

Its the last picture on the blog there!! Enjoy!

My apologies if this was already posted in the Wave 2 thread, but I was following that pretty closely and other threads and had not seen this pic posted anywhere.

Picture still doesn't do it justice. Because of the ratio of model to base and the angle, it looks slightly bigger. I'm sure it is much more than slightly bigger.

The mon cals are beutiful, thank you for this.

all the models look real great (even the gladiator, which I must admit I had my doubts on going by the pictures)

The ISD looks huge and I can't wait for it :P

It looks like Bossk, Zuckuss & 4-LOM, and Dengar will be making an appearance in armada before they do on X-Wing... Still, it gives us hope for some new ships at the starfighter scale

Rowdy Oc, I agree: at first look, its kinda like: "that Imp Duce needs to be bigger!!" But I do think you are right on: I think the angle and naked bases just throws things off a bit.

But all in all: That Imp Duce on the table or my office at work, is going to be KILLER!!!

That settles the "will we get a seperate Home One model" question too. That MC80 is named "Home One Expansion Pack", but is clearly normal MC80 sized.

So no, no bigger model for people....it'll just be a title.

Nice link there, thanks for that!

I am so happy I chose rebel for this game. This Wave cinches the fact I chose the superior side, lol. Now if I can only get a Liberty class ship with those ridiculous wings I'd be set.

I think the fact that this MC80 is called the home one expansion signifies that there will be an MC80 liberty expansion as well.

The MC30 definitely looks like its on a small base from those pictures. It looks like it overhangs the base by a good bit then. I'm guessing its 580 meters is probably the max you can put on a small base. Maybe the Dreadnaught at 600m would be a small base? I'd think it would be at least medium.

Yes i picked that up as well Extropia. Very dissappointed, if the star desroyer was that much off people would be up in arms.

i suppose rebs are just the minority.

going to have to do some modifications now

How much bigger was Home One compared to a normal MC80? There is no definitive source at all.

Rather than starting this discussion again, i will point you here;

Glad we finally got a look at the scale between the VSD & ISD, looks great. I'll finally have another Imperial class to display along with my collectors fleet edition from the 90s.

Slightly bummed to see Home One grouped in with the rest of the MC80s. For a standard MC80, it looks to be scaled pretty well, though I can't tell how it stacks up against the ISD model.

I assume we'll get Admiral Ackbar for Home One, and hopefully Thrawn & Chimera for the ISD.
