Correct me if I did my math wrong, but the most psychic Discipline powers you can ever get is 10. What gives? I'm not for game-breaking twink stuff, but if I'm a psychic I want to well, you know...have psychic powers? The left path of the psyker only gets 3 Discipline powers (unless I did the math wrong).

Well, you can get more than 10 discipline powers. Each time you buy a psy level (don´t know how it´s named in englisch because we´re playing the german version), you get at least one psychic discipline power for each NEW discipline, or a number of powers equal ofhalf of your willpower-bonus. For Example, your willpower is 60, you get 3 discipline powers for buying one psy-level and keeping one old discipline, and don´t forget you can buy 2 discipline powers per carreer (not in every one).

You have to choose whether you want to master ONE discipline (get all 10 powers of one discipline) and few powers in 1 or 2 other disciplines, or not to be master but to get much powers in more disciplines.

For myself i choosed to master biomantie (biomantic?? don´t know the english name) and collect two discipline-fokus on that discipline. So i get the +5 bonus for mastering one discipline, +2 bonus for the both fokus and +2 for some other benefit-bonus i just forgot. And i also get the +6 willpower-bonus. So when i roll 5 dice, i got an average of 25.

25+5+2+2+6 = 40 (Average). With this sum you can easily explode someones head. And don´t forget you can always sacrifice(??) life essence to increase the sum and you can increase your willpower bonus with other powers. With one more full action i achive easily 60 and boom, there goes the head and chest.

But back to the topic: I think i got approximately 12 minor powers i bought, 10 biomantic discipline-powers and 6 prophetic discipline powers. So 16 discipline-powers, 12 minor powers to kick alien-ass. For exact information i would need my charakter sheet which stays at the gamemasters house.

I think one can take up to 17 different powers if you are a scholar (not a savant), take them from only 2 different disciplines and buy all Psychic Power advances. so Hellmaster is right. If you need a wider choice of powers take a look inside Disciples of the Dark Gods.

The prophetic discipline is called Divination in English

And your +2 bonus probably comes from 2x Power Well ;-) Nevertheless I could still understand you.

The maximum number of powers you can get, assuming no Elite advacnes for extra powers, is 19, this is also assuming you get to a willpower bonus of 7 before buying Psy Rating 4.
