I hope FFG will do some deck plans for the capital ships like the Star Destroyers
Deck Plans
I doubt FFG will do deck plans since they seem to be rather map light with this system. There are some community built Star Wars deck plan websites out there. I don't know if they've tackled any of the capital ships though. Those suckers are just huge.
No one has or likely will do something like a Star Destroyer, other then the handful of limited stuff that already exists (Starfall, Incredulous Cross Sections, DStar Tech Companion). There's just too little use for something requiring that level of time and effort.
If you want a feel for individual sections of a Star Destroyer though, track down the WEG Deathstar Technical Companion. It has deckplans for individual sections and functional areas that can easily be applied to a Star Destroyer.
I agree that this is very unlikely to ever come out, but as a DM I would pay good money for it!
never will happen. something like that could take months for one artist to do
best we can get is incredible cross sections

Depending on the detail, maybe years. We are talking about ships that are 1000m or more in length depending on which capital ships.might be done. And just imagine the pain of dealing with the MC80s where each one is supposedly a custom ship each time.
Yes I have the book but my ex's dog left his teeth marks in it, never got a replacement out of her though.
Uhm. You know the Nebulon Ranger? The Crescent-X9 starship from Tales of the Jedi? It also appears in a slightly different version in the EotE CRB (page 29). While kind of the completely wrong era, I've made a version for it that is more recent than 3-4000 years BBY. It's made by Kuat Drive Yards (found/bought the schematics, made an updated version, yada-yada-yada), and the supremely original renaming of it is: Nebulon-R ...
I know. Anywhoooo... that's largeley irrelevant. My question: anyone concocted some deck plans for this beauty? Or willing to give it a go?

Yeah.
This is a deckplan of the HMS Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier... it's "only" 280m long and "only" has 3 decks (not counting the flight deck).

Now, Imagine doing that, but for something that's more than 4 times the size in pretty much all directions...
It'd take a while (or it'd be filled with empty and uninteresting spaces and rooms)
The -vast- majority of a Star Destroyer is filled with 3 things: lodging, storage and power generation.
All of those save power generation should be able to be done rapidly with standardized plans. The fiddly bits are with deck intersections and, honestly, I'd expect a lot of that to be handled with corridors and dead space for wiring and the like.
It sounds like it'd be an interesting project if someone with much more talent than I were to give it a shot...
I would be ready to pay a good money to have an official book full of deckplans, ideally paired with an isometric projection, of star wars ships.

as Would I, I am no artist... I get by using maptools to make my online maps.. but I grab something premade when It fits and looks better than I can do.
