I am sorry but i am not sure where you are getting the basic stats.

I am talking about the ship stand base where it shows the firing arcs, not the ship card. If that helps clear things up.

If you look at the rear arc of a ship near its maximum shield value you will find the anti squadron value to the left, hull points to the right and ship class above. Those are what he is referring to as basic stats and they are there for quick reference.
