Hello everyone

Hoping I can get some assistance in deciding a squad for a store championship

To keep it simple I'm torn between 3 builds

Bbbbz

Panic attack

Bxxzzz

I believe there will be a lot of two ship builds.

Falcons, decimator, and Ig88

And likely a phantom or two.

I've used bbbbz and panic attack and am getting familiar with them, and done quite well

Bxxzzz I haven't flown yet, but have a good idea how I'd fly it, and am familiar with those ships.

It's just with the bxxzzz squad that is a lot of ships for two ships to destroy

More attack dice and evade dice, than both bbbbz, and panic attack

Can block a lot more ground including decloak lanes. May not die as fast as bbbbz. Since some ships have two evades it is 6 less hp.

However panic attack is great for control, but i just worry against fat Han type builds if Han manages to kit this squad it maybe hard to slow him down, plus if he has talas with him the bs will die fast,

Out of the three which do you think is best?

no real rubric for "best," but the choice between naked, generic X-wings and B-wings is not much of a choice at all (Bs, all day everyday for the sheer flexibility of barrel-roll on top of superior stats)

the rest falls to how easily amused you are. BBBBZ gets really repetitive really fast, whereas panic attack stresses (hah) good positioning to overcome faster foes.

B's are statistically better and probably the stronger choice, but I would jump at the chance to rep the X-Wing in another store championship... I won mine with Tarn as part of my list, but he's not your average X-Wing pilot.

While BBBBZ would probably be stronger against a lot of those lists, the BXXZZZ list is what I would choose. More overall firepower, more speed, more ships for blocking. If you choose it you should practice how it flies together though before the championship starts though.

I've been using the panic attack lately.

I've used bbbbz in the past.

I just know there is going to be a lot of two ship builds

They are pretty strong here.

I lost one game in my last tournament with bbbbz against a falcon and Leebo build.

Ive beaten Han on vassal, but lost where it counts

I've learned from my mistakes though

With the bbbbz I worry about fel and Whisper mire, which is also why I like panic aattack

But honestly I think there be more big duel ships and maybe one or two fel/whisper

panic for interesting.

but bxxzzz sounds very good against what you describe.

Any recommendations on a good set up for the bxxzzz squad

I thought something like this

B Z

X X Z Z

Keep the z on outside and set up in a corner

Try use z and blocker and take fire away from the other half of the squad

Maybe turn right away with them or bank and then roll ahead with the other half and eventually turn in and have the z meet just ahead of the oyher half of squad
