Greedo Lists

STUCK N MUX

100 points

PILOTS

Binayre Pirate (12) x 2

Torkhil Mux (25)
HWK-290 (19), Ion Cannon Turret (5), Greedo (1)

IG88-B (51)
Aggressor (36), Predator (3), Advanced Sensors (3), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Autothrusters (2)

Idea here is have Mux and the Zs screen for IG. This seems like a lot of fun maybe not so much competitive. What other ways have you seen Greedo used?

That looks exactly like a list I made, except I used the last point for inertia dampers on IG-88 and I am using D in that list.

I'm more of a fan of Greedo on a Firespray. More shields to chew through and if you have him on someone hard to hit like Boba Fett you are likely to never get hit by the first shot, which is the only one that can benefit from Greedo. Torkil doesn't need a bigger target on his head than he already has. His ability makes him a big target already.

I think Greedo works better on a Firespray, but the only list I've come up with that uses him so far is this:

Greedo Shoots First

------

Syndicate Thug [ion Cannon Turret, R4 Agromech, BTL-A4 Y-Wing] (25) x 2

Torkhil Mux [ion Cannon Turret, Greedo] (25)

Binayre Pirate (12) x 2

------

Basic tactics with some pirates to help set up some blocks to get the Thug Life on. Greedo literally shoots first in this list and can shoot your primary target before he can shoot you...dangerous? Yes, but I too love the Ion Cannon Turret with Greedo.

I've considered using him with Dace, but it just ends up at too many points. At 25 points, I don't think this is that big a deal to have Greedo on a HWK. If you really want to keep him alive, go for Dace and get Kaa'to bodyguard to protect and MC title to store up some focus for defense.

Looking at Boba and Greedo now has me intrigued. I faced a Scum Boba in a tournament a few days ago and it was pretty effective. I wasn't scared of it at first, but all it had was Recon Specialist and it was just a beast to go against...lots more respect for him now. Could be devastating with Greedo.

I misread a thread earlier on crits thinking Greedo's faceup card bypassed shields so yeah maybe I will try exploring a generic hawk or firespray with Greedo and an ion turrent so it isn't such an obvious first target.

I actually posted a thread a few days back looking to work with Greedo and Dace Bonearm. Right now, my two ideas are this:

Run Greedo on a Mando Merc with an Ion Cannon. Ideally you want two Ion weapons at the minimum in a Bonearm list to help guarantee that extra damage each turn, and the Firespray can both utilize an ion weapon, while carrying Greedo with its relatively high shields protecting it for a couple turns. Downside is you can only squeeze in one more decent ship (say, Kavil) OR a pair of jobber pirates. Expensive just to prevent Greedo from screwing you over.

Alternatively, leave Greedo on Bonearm, give him a Stealth Device, and flying him with Serissu (who can be given an Ion Cannon as well!) AND someone with Bodyguard. Haven't got a chance to run it yet, but thinking maybe a mini-swarm with Dace, Serissu, Leeachos as the Bodyguard, and then a pair of Binyare Pirates as blockers/cannon fodder/additional firepower/more places Leeachos can steal a focus token for Bodyguard. Only concern will be the general fragility of each individual ship if they fail to evade, and the need for tight flying to maximize synergy. Could be amusing, though.

Though you could also just through an Engine Upgrade and VI on Dace, and simply try to arc dodge. With K4, you could take a green, get the free lock, then boost out of arc.

Really, there's all kinds of potentially fun ways to use Dace Bonearm. And yes, I've put a lot of thought into using him and how to use him. To be fair:

1. I've been obsessed with ion weapons in Star Wars as a kid, what with them always being associated with my beloved Y-Wings.

2. The guy's name is Dace Bonearm. I cannot emphasize enough how badass of a name that is, in an early 90s sort of way. That could very well be the name of a player in Mutant League Football.

3. Holy crap, have you seen his HWK with the awesome corroded copper looking finish? He makes that clunker look intimidating and it's 90% of the reason I want to learn how to do my own repaints so I can have my own custom Dace Bonearm HWK-290.

Only problem is finding time for enough games to actually get some practice in.
