Okay thanks for answering the last ones. I have a few more just to be sure.

1. On the cards (for example, Diala Passil) she has Surge:recover 2 damage

Now how do you get surge. Do you get that with Dice and if you do can you keep them?

2. When suffering Strain it states that you can take the top card of your Command Deck to stop the damage.

A. I take it that it's not a good idea to go through your deck to save your cards.

B. Do you keep track of strain at all like the campaign stuff.

you get those surges during the attack just like you do in the campaign. You do not track strain like you do in campaign, you choose when you get it to either take the damage or Mill 1 card. After that, that specific instance of strain no longer matters.

You don't get to keep surges either. You have to use them when you roll them and you can't use the same surge ability twice, unless specifically allowed to do so with a special rule (like Rebel Saboteurs have).

So now, example here. Jyn odan is shooting at a basic Storm Trooper. I am 5 spaces away. I roll my dice and get 1 hit 1 surge 1 range then 2 hits 1 surge 2 range on the other dice. Now can i use my surges right away and use both her surge powers of to do +2 accuracy and damage so i can hit the storm trooper. I take it that i can. But if i have enough surge can i use both.

So your total roll was: 3 hits, 3 accuracy, and 2 surges.

Since you rolled two surges, you choose up to two of your surge abilities to activate. Since you spend surges in the aptly named "Step 5: Spend Surges" step in the attack, you would need to spend one of those surges for more accuracy (if you plan on hitting), and then you could spend the other surge on a different ability. Note: Defense dice are rolled at the same time as attack dice (Step 2: Roll Dice), so you will know exactly what you need to spend your surges on!

As an aside, you can still spend surges on some effects even if the attack doesn't hit.

So for example if you only had 1 surge instead of two, you could use that to remove 2 damage, and then have the attack miss.

Does Jyn have a surge:recover ability?

Does Jyn have a surge:recover ability?

No, I got my examples mixed up. It started off with Diala, and then moved to Jyn.

But the larger point is that you can still spend surges from an attack even if the attack doesn't hit in some cases.

Right, in cases where damage is not required to trigger surge abilities, such as Recover.

Gotcha!
