I just recently moved back to the Sacramento area and was wondering if there is any scene for this game out here? Do people still play it and where?

I sold my copy of the game but am interested in maybe getting back into it.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't have the game but would be interested in knowing if there is a scene around this area.

For Sacramento players. I am still working out where people play outside of homes. Great Escape Games(GEG) staff say that there are people who play armada at their store but that it is a small group. GEG is listed as a location for a store championship this year though there is no posted date yet. There is a star wars armada facebook page which seems to be a fair amount of players connected. I requested to be added but haven’t been added yet. However, even if there were no other players in Sacramento I'd be down to play. I have a medium-large collection with a goal of being able to have balanced imperial and rebel fleets. If you're up for a game, let me know. I can send you a list of what I have and we can share.

If the facebook group you are referencing is for the Bay Area Armada group, then shoot me a PM with your name and I'll get the administrators to look into it. We're also all waiting for GEG to also list their store championship dates.

Unfortunately, I'm down in Berkeley so I can't join you outside of special events.

I am a new player living on the East Bay looking for people to a casual group. Just jumping on this thread. I sent the facebook group a request.

We have a meetup tonight at Endgame in downtown Oakland, 2 blocks from 12th St BART next to the convention center. We've been doing lots of Corellian Conflict lately, but tonight will be causal games because half the players can't make it. There will be about 4-5 people starting around 6pm.

I made it and played a game with Brian. Brian was a fantastic opponent for a newbie, and I only hope was a good opponent.

I was in far corner table. Had a great game, absolutely loved and am hooked. I am already thinking about how to find a way to a play a few games this weekend.

Would you have any interest/availability in a weekend game? I would be happy to take the farther drive as the newbie player.

Hi @Pizza Guy , thanks for showing up - I was the fat slob who skewed up after 7 and got too wrapped up in a game vs the other Brian. Apologies for not introducing myself.

And yes, the Brian you played against is a very good player.

If I remember correctly, you are close to Game Kastle Fremont? I know there are a few people who meet up there and would be thrilled to have more. You should have some luck finding weekend games there. They are also having a tournament end of December, if you're interested. I recommend posting on the facebook page to find their schedule.

@thecactusman17 Oh no worries at all- I had intended to walk around after the game but I was starving and did not eat before hand. I will be sure to eat first and stick around. The next game won't be until January as 2 weeks from now falls on Xmas?

@nashjaee Oh hey! Good to meet you again. Thanks for the suggestion I think I will do that. I saw the Dec 30th tournament, I am likely going to be driving home (from SoCal) that day from Xmas vacation from the family. I would love too but I don't think it will work out. If I am in town I will definitely show up though.

@Pizza Guy If you are in so cal on break there is a really good East LA/OC/San Bernardino scene you might be able to sneak in a game with over the break. Then you can take your newfound prowess back north and teach all those folks how to really play Armada.
