I have just a few questions on this card.

1) is her ablitiy always on?

2) when it says total strength, does bounes from plot cards and attachments count for total strength or they all added after?

3) in combat, the total of my opponents characters strength are 0?

4) with Melisandre on the board for dominance phase do i win dominance if my opponent has no gold?

I'm sorry but i am very confused. I'm not sure fi you have a card effect with the wrong name or if you are talking about a melisandre that i've never seend.

The LCG Melisandre says this:

Renown.
While Melisandre is standing, Asshai characters get +1 STR.
Power on opponents' characters does not count towards their total power.

in response to your questions these are the best answers i can give:

1) yes barring an outside effect her ability is always on.

2, 3 & 4) If Mel is standing the only affect she has on STR is to give all assai +1 STR. Are you confusing power with STR in her text box?

If i'm assuming that you have the wrong card when in fact you have the right card (and my head is up my butt) then i apologize.

I think what's happening here is actually that the OP has confused the terms "power" and "strength" here like you guessed, Lars. If you read his questions that way, I believe it matches up with LCG Mel.
