Looks really cool! Can the pods shoot lasers at each other?

Thanks, there is no shooting phase as such. Combat occurs during the movement step, where you can ram and sideswipe opponents. Some upgrades do allow attacks to be made with illegal weapons which would be the closest thing to shooting. I recently re-watched the "pod racing scene" from the movies and pretty much everything that happens there can occur (although no rules for Tusken snipers!) The gameplay is certainly different enough from X-Wing while still having a similar feel with the actions, dice and templates as well as the customization of your racers.

I suspect the anti-prequels bias will prevent many people from showing much interest in this game. However, I think it's kind of cool. Then again, I also like the Naboo N-1 as a starfighter, so there's that.

That reminds me... I need a Jar Jar downgrade card!

I hate the prequals as much as i love the Original trilogy, but i do like me some cool podracing minis game!
