Victor?

By orchunter13, in UFS Deck Building

So, I was looking at some characters that I play in fighting games, and I reached Victor from Darkstalkers. However, after reading his abilities and some of the Darkstalkers cards made for him, I was rather confused. What kind of strategy does Victor normally play? I mean, how does returning your foundations and assets to your hand count as a strategy?

I can understand the discard parts, or making your opponent return stuff to your hand, but I still don't really see a strategy for Victor...

This makes me sad, because Victor is one of my favorite fighting game characters.

If you can tell me a basic strategy, or at least a decent one, I would be more than grateful. That would help me build a nostalgic deck of one of the coolest fighting game characters (imo).

Thank you!

A really good combo for Victor is Darkness Blade + Reanimated. You first enhance with Darkness Blade then you keep using Reanimated's E to pick itself up and play it again (it can be used again since when you play it back down, it's a "new copy" of the card) to commit every single card your opponent has in their staging area.

Another trick you can use is Reanimated + Mentally Unstable + Mega Spike. You keep picking up Mentally Unstable and dropping it back down after you use it to loop Mega Spike. Once you run out of cards in your hand, you start using cards from your staging area.

There also use to be some 0 Dif 6 Control Asset/Action cards that got banned. When they were played as an action it reduced and opponents attack to 0 damage, but then you had to add the asset side to your staging area that had a good effect that only your opponent could use. So he could abuse those by playing them and picking them up so your opponent couldn't use the asset side and keep playing the action side on your opponents attack.

also if you put enough foundations in your opponents hand, it makes it harder for him to draw attacks.

You could also try Billy's support. Play the splits as foundations, and then pick them up later when you need attacks!

victor is beast. he has a multi purpose e and an amazing asset. victor can loop like mad.

Ah, now it makes sense.

Thanks everyone!

Now I can build a deck around Victor!

Thanks everyone!
