Epic 300vs300 battle report, with errata on CR90

By Mu0n729, in X-Wing Battle Reports

"Then, the player with initiative chooses two of these

asteroid tokens and places them into the play area at the same time,

within range 1 of each other but not within Range 1–2 of either player

edge."

Haven't finished reading yet, but I don't consider this to be excluding range 2 in any way.

Closing thoughts, nice report!

The CR90 was to be reckoned with even before, now even more so! I had two Epic tournaments up to now, and I would always avoid it while trying to score points on something else.. (except the time it paraded in front of my B-wings, giving me 3 rounds of fire).

From my experience, Biggs works super ok in Epic (we got mauled by a tight box of X-wings with Biggs in the center once), so I would replace your Daggers and Blount with this:

Biggs Darklighter (25)
R2-F2 (3)
Experimental Interface (3)

Wedge Antilles (29)
Swarm Tactics (2)

Tarn Mison (23)
R7 Astromech (2)

Garven Dreis (26)

Airen Cracken (19)
Predator (3)
Assault Missiles (5)

Lieutenant Blount (17)
Assault Missiles (5)

CR90 Corvette (Aft) (40)
Han Solo (2)
Quad Laser Cannons (6)
Engineering Team (4)
Tibanna Gas Supplies (4)

CR90 Corvette (Fore) (50)
Weapons Engineer (3)
Quad Laser Cannons (6)
Single Turbolasers (8)
Gunnery Team (4)
Sensor Team (4)
Carlist Rieekan (3)
Tantive IV (4)

Total: 300

Now Blount has a buddy with an Assault Missile, everyone has PS12 on the first round of firing (but you have to be sure of which round it is). Airen takes a TL at PS12, Blount same. You have to be sure not to have Kagi in arc for this. Garven gives a focus to Airen after he shoots, Biggs turtles, Airen fires with Predator + focus for modifying, gives a focus action to Blount, who fires with only focus (but hits anyway hehe). Forgot that Carlist is only for Activation. Wedge has to give SW to Garven, who gives Airen the focus and starts the same chain.

With your build, I'd put Engineering team on the aft section. If the aft section goes down, it might as well kill off that team, since it would not serve you in any way on the fore- you can't accumulate more than 1 energy per turn.

Same for sensor team, you have to put it in the section that performs the target lock action- if the fore goes down, you can't target lock anymore, so Sensors on the aft is dead weight. Gunnery being where there's the highest amount of hard points is a fine choice.

Great report, thanks for sharing!

It was, I just had the fore and aft sections listed in a different order.
