No.

But you CAN use Greedo's ability to make the damage card from an Ion Cannon be dealt face-up.

This is different than a Crit

To be a little more clear, the ion effect deals a boom result, not a kaboom result. Basically, the fact that it is coming from an ion weapon stops being relevant at that point. Then the boom result gets turned into normal damage. Damage will first remove a shield token if there is one, if there isn't, then the damage will become a dealt damage card. This is the point where Greedo comes into play. If that damage card is being dealt during the first attack or defense by greedo's ship that round, and if it is the first damage card dealt in that attack, then it is dealt face up instead of face down.

I think you may be remembering Determination wrong?

Determination: "When you are dealt a faceup damage card..."

Chewbacca: "When you are dealt a faceup damage card..."
