"Brass" Brady

By BrooklynMike, in CoC General Discussion

I'm sure I am just not getting some important nuance, but for the life of me I don't understand why "Brass" Brady is useful. As I read it, any triggered ability (which as I understand is any Action or Response) he returns to your hand. So, you pay to put him into play, your opponent triggers any action, and he is back in your hand. Can someone set me straight?

I think I can. His special ability is a Disrupt, it is NOT a forced response. If you control Jack Brady you can decide when you want to bring him back into your hand. The obvious times would be when he is wounded, destroyed, or sent insane, you can interrupt the result and bring him into your hand instead of the discard pile.

Is this the reason your kid whups you every game? Have you been treating all disrupts as forced responses ??

Chick

Actions, Disrupts and Responses are voluntary. Only Forced Responses are, well 'forced'.

As a friendly reminder, I highly recommend reading the faq as well as all other rules sources carefully.

I don't know how many times I've read it through and I always seem to be reminded of some ruling or another.

Also this subject seems more appropriate for the the 'Rules Discussion' thread rather than 'General Discussion'.

First, to chicklewis: No, she keeps beating me because she is a much better card player then me! :)

Both: Thanks. Your advice is good, and I do find after I play a lot and then go back to the FAQ and rules etc I pick up some nuance I had not noticed before.
