high resolution wave 1 fighter photos?

By Lurtz, in Star Wars: Armada

Does anyone have any or know of where there are some, id like to get ahead of the curve on research so i can just start painting them as soon as them come in :)

Just Google image it, plenty were taken at gencon last year.

Cool, I'd never seen that.

The B-Wings are surprisingly straight and aligned. Straighter and more aligned than their X-Wing Miniatures big brothers, even.

I would be highly suspicious, if it weren't for the fact that the X-Wing fighters on display in the same photo are approximately as warped and wobbled as the ones I got in my starter sets. Fingers crossed that the B's (and Y's and A's) in the photo are representative of the actual quality of the eventual product, and not cherry-picked photogenic examples.

While its true my Tie wings came a bit flexed and flash was over everything i didn't notice anything untoward about the X wings?, my only criticism with the model would be that i wish the laser cannons were thinner. but i get why they didnt do that :)

Im sure the fighters will be great, they look great! Dammit they will be great! happy thoughts

come on imminent release announcement.

Use the force?

I bought one starter and split another, giving me... 24ish? itty-bitty X-Wings. I'd say roughly 1 out of 4 had a laser barrel that was significantly askew (ie. noticeable from 1.5 feet away) and about 2 or 3 in the whole batch had a nose that was a little bit bent one way or the other (only noticeable up close).

The TIEs seem to suffer from an even greater frequency of curly wing syndrome.

I had worries for the future fighters, particularly B-Wings, since they always seem to come misaligned even at X-Wing Minis scale (although that's due in large part to them being multi-piece assemblies there... the single-piece models in Armada might be more consistent).

Well im not sure, i did see a few photos of X wings with broken laser cannons. However i bought two core sets and not a single x wing was eskew. there seemed to be many Ties with floopy wings in the first core less so in the second. They really dont bug me though, painted up and on their stands i really cant tell :/

i think theyll get it right though, i mean theyll have too. I fear for them, the community **** near rose up in revolt just for the factory missing the ink on the back of the neb b i cant imagine what would happen if the B wings looked like preztel wings.

But im confident in them, no matter what anyone says the components from FFG are really top notch.
