HLC Bs + Corran: Fire-Control Systems or Engine Upgrade?

x2 Blue Squad Pilot: HLC

Corran Horn: Vet Instincts, R3-A2

HLC Blues to wreck stuff, stress Corran to counter Soontir and pin down Dash, Han and Chiraneau. So Fire-Control Systems on the Blues or Engine for Corran? Engine helps Corran catch Soontir, but against every thing else its not needed and the Blues love the extra TL on their 4 dice.

Can Corran catch Soontir in arc with just his Barrel Roll?

you probably don't want R3-A2 on an action dependent ship, you don't want to roll and leave corran naked with no hope of recovery (r2-d2). You do have the choice to R3-A2 on the double tap (would not advise, double stress corran is soundly ******) or not, but it doesn't seem like an efficient use of the pilot.

as an alternative, Luke (V.I, R3-A2, Engine)

same base cost as Corran, easily swivels arc to catch assholes, doesn't double stress by himself (PTL) but also doesn't serve himself up with gravy when using R3-A2 twice

You got enough left for two FCS and a flechette torp plus a 1 point initiative bid.

R2-D2 is pretty much required for Corran lists. VI fcs r2d2 works ok with 2 HLC b's.

I have been looking at the accuracy corrector for Curran, 4 guaranteed hits when he double taps. His actions are reserved for defense. I have also looked at PTL so he can evade and focus for defense if necessary. If r2d2 is equipped the green maneuver to shed the PTL strss triggers him.

I'm skeptical about Accuracy Corrector on a 3 attack dice ship. I like FCS better at one less point or Adv Sens at an equivalent 3 points.

I get what you are saying and I haven't run the math go determine the hit probabilities. I was looking for ways to enhance the E wing's defense without sacrificing offensemand that was a thought.
