just watched last flash on hulu. mark hammel as trickster. I knew I seen it before so I looked it up, mind blow, so mark hammel played the trickster in the 91 flash series. more mind blown, barry allens dad is the actor that played flash in 91 series. more mind blown this series accknowleges that mark hammel was the trickster from 20 years ago, and in fact shows pictures of mark hammel being the trickster in said flash show 20 years ago. this is where my drunk ramblings start to get iffy. if they recognize the 20 year old trickster, will they recognize the 20 year old flash? it is the same actor.
new flash tv series n other flash related stuff also spoilers
They played it off in the episode that the Trickster was stopped by the Central City Police Department. The photos were a nice touch, to add to the believability of his previous crime spree 20 years earlier. The episode was fantastic and the show never ceases to amaze me about how much they get right with the canon and with The Flash's powers.
It was fun to see what a live action version of Hamill's Joker would be like.
Well really the 90s trickster had that voice before the joker but yeah that episode was really good I'm enjoying the first flash season alot, arrow didn't get good until it's second season but flash hit the ground running.
Really irritating the movie flash will have nothing to do with the series.
Dc would of been better off having everything linked like marvel having all these different continuities is a mess and the new series look like they'll be separate universes as well.

Why would you want to restrict the TV shows like this. It's bad enough that Agents of Shield blames most of it's issues with their first season on Winter Soldier (which is bs). And good god, lets not give Snyder too much influence over the DC universe.

I like the marvel method of keeping all the movies tied together. But I agree that Agents of Shield would be a better show if it wasn't tied down with what the movies are doing.
I like the show, but it does have a sense of being the middle child, who lives off the hand-me-downs of the other child, and can never quite escape that shadow. You know that they can never do anything really interesting plotwise, because those things are saved for the movies.
I dunno it's now setting up the inhumans in a way you could never do in a film, it's also setting up the roots of the civil war we'll see in cap 3 and season two has kept up the momentum all the way through.
Snyder needs to be taken out back and shot along with nolan after batman rises and man of steel, the guys doing arrow and flash clearly give a crap unlike the people doing the movies, batman vs superman is gonna be such a trainwreck.
The real problem is unlike with marvel the WB guy in charge does not have any interest in comics and it shows in the movies, needless changes and a general lack of quality just make DC movies a joke.
Marvels not perfect but even the weaker films like thor 2 didn't make me think i'd wasted my time the way green lantern did.

This but I actually liked Thor The Dark World other than the lackluster villain.

Agents of Shield also has the issue of being a Whedon show without (the good) Whedon.
The Marvel method also cost me Edgar Wright's Ant-man. So, I'm a bit bitter about that.
I wouldn't put too much of Man of Steel's issues on Nolan. Even Nolan was against the neck snap, but Snyder and Goyer convinced him otherwise. Goyer at least seems to be out. And I think DC is willing to let creatives be creative. Unlike Marvel.

Given he killed tens of thousands I couldn't care less about the neck snap, though that family deserved death if they are too stupid to move there was loads of room.
No my issue was out of order flashbacks, a pa Kent that contradicts himself multiple times then has a stupid death, superman leaving an empty field devoid of people so he can fly into a populated town and detonate a gas station and on and on.
Oh and Lois lane just being places because the script said so.
