Points For FF

By KTreu42, in X-Wing

I'm sure there's other threads like this out there, but I wanted to give respect where it's due. My StarViper came with wildly deformed pegs, like they were so wiped they wouldn't keep a ship upright. I sent a request to FF about the defective part, and once they got around to answering the request, they sent not one, but FIVE sets of replacement pegs.

Very cool of them, there's probably a couple other ships with slightly derpy pegs I can replace now.

This should just be a thread dedicated to thanking FFG for their fantastic customer service.

I'll thank them again for delivering me a new set of large ship pegs for my Millennium Falcon when I informed them that mine were close to the breaking point.

Will they also replace poorly painted ships?

Not entirely sure on that one as there is nothing inherently wrong with the miniature or components other than a sub-optimal paintjob. Do you have pictures of the ship in question?

Only real problem i've had with poorly painted ships is the reprints and wave 6 both have models with a large excess of black wash. Also one of my IG-88 had a chip in the black canopy paint :(. Honestly my only problems with the models so far is one of my falcons (from this reprint wave) dips toward the ground at the front maybe 10 degrees? (bugs me every time I look at it)

Lots of ships have those little imperfections, often it's the way their peg intake is glued on that makes them sit funny. For example, my Firespray leans to the side slightly. I also have a B-Wing that has a crooked s-foil. They aren't huge mistakes, but the problem is once you see them you can't un-see them :-/

I guess you could say they pegged you..lol

All the points for FFG, they replaced a damaged dial for me.

So great to see such awesome customer service

I had my aces B-wing come out of the box with a broken cannon and a broken peg attachment. A friend with superglue fixed them both flawlessly, so I never felt the need to report it to FFG.

I recently fixed my only B-Wing's right side laser cannon as it cracked from falling a whole 4 inches. Looks the same as before but it is way more sturdy.

My Transport didn't come with R3-A2, they sent one to me with no hassle at all.

Man, I want something defective just so I get use customer service too.

Have a buddy who's brand new Defender busted when he tried to put it together. We were setting up to play, he opens the package and tries to insert the peg into the slot on the ship. Apparently the slot was so tight that when he got the peg inside, the slot snapped off the ship itself. FFG sent him a new Defender.
