Hello, everyone.

I'm a relatively new member here on the forums (first post and all >_> ), and I'm also a relatively new player to UFS. To get an idea for building a deck, I picked up a couple of starter decks through the trade-in promotion (made it much easier for getting cards) and read some decklists.

This has, however, lead me to some basic deckbuilding questions: is it better to run a single resource or multi-resource deck, or does it merely depend on the strategy you're going for? As I'm sure you're aware, the starter decks are single resource, but a lot of decklists are multi-resource. Are the starter decks like that for simplicity's sake?

It all depends on your playing style and how used you are to the game. A multi-symbol deck gives you access to slightly more cards but it isn't always very easy to play them. A mono-symbol deck gives you no problem playing your cards but might be somewhat limited. For a new player, it's usually better to start with a mono-symbol deck until you get the hang of it, then you can start playing around with multi-symbol decks. But don't believe that multi-symbol are any better than mono-symbol or vice-versa ; what you put in your deck and how you play it makes all the difference

Fire or Air Sagat? (you're asking about Tiger Fury in Rules Q & A ^^ )

Lol. I currently use Fire Sagat, find it pretty nifty. I was thinking of eventually throwing more earth in there to make the attacks both faster (what it primarily focuses on), and then stronger to boot with earth. Just an idea I was tossing around. But yeah, as of now, Fire Sagat

One very good foundation if you use both Fire and Earth is Origins Unknown ^^ With Sagat you very easily get a lot of founds out, then use Origins Unknown and hardly any worries about your opponent blocking! Even better if you use Cobra Blow with it You know what kind of cards you're going to put in your deck yet?

Yeah, I'm planning on adding mostly just speed/damage bonus cards. Of course, I'm looking for the cards that deal more with foundations

I know that I really want to add Tiger Genocide, but it's only earth, so I'm going to need earth for that one first.Tiger Wave seems like a great game ender, and so on.

Which means you're playing Legacy ^^ One of his best finishers was and remains Tiger Fury ; with the Domination Sagat, it just rocks house (it actually rocks so much that it had to be errated)

to start with build a single resource deck, also look to any playing experience you have from other ccgs. I play a beatdown style in other card game so i took that concept and used it in my UFS deck.

Another thing you can do is ask around your area's ufs players to give you suggetions, just remember they know what they're talking about, as do most of us on the forums.
