I was thinking, it'd add a lot more tactical challenge and realism if destroyed ships dropped debris tokens that blocked LOS and counted as impassable terrain.
Fighter Debris: Blocks LOS for fighters, does not block LOS for ships. Ship movement ending in fighter debris follows same rules for re-placement of fighters.
