Heir to the Jedi aka Noodle Scooting

By Rogue Dakotan, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Hey Noodle Scooters! By Chobb's Knob we've got a great new show for you guys.

If you haven't read the new canon novel Heir to the Jedi, don't. Just listen to us tear it apart in the latest episode of The Jodo Cast. The book is so ridiculous. Noodle scooting is a thing. You'll see...

(We also talk about X-Wing, Armada, and Imperial Assault a little bit.)

EPISODE 10: NOODLE SCOOTING

I just finished it yesterday. It is one of the worst Star Wars books I've ever read. Pointless. I was optimistic because the other new stuff was at least palatable.

Brain-suckers were worse than the noodle-scooting.

If 18-year old Luke had a diary this is how dumb it would have been.

Someone wanna fill me in on what noodle-scooting is?

Noodle scooting is what Luke does. :P

He's decided that it must be possible for Jedi to move things using the Force, without touching them, so he tries for the first time on a noodle while him and his flirt-buddy are having lunch.

He succeeds in scooting it a bit. she says. "Look at you! You little noodle scooter!" or something to that effect.

NOODLE SCOOTER

Even worse, his next attempt at telekenesis is also on a noodle.

Well, that's using your noodle.

It was not a good book, but it was palatable.

it does a very good job at exploring Luke's ineptness out of a cockpit and his desire to become a jedi.

I now hope that since this book is out Kevin Hearne will go back to publishing 2 Iron Druid series books a year.

So what's the final verdict? Greater than EU or worse.

EU has Thrawn. High bar.

EU has that blob cult in Crystal Star. Insanely low bar.

No way to answer that question.

Legends has like 30 years of content.

Canon EU has less than 1. Can't really come to a conclusion quite yet. :P

Yea your right, the classics are always better, there were no sequels to the OT and EU.
