How does communication between Hyperspace and Realspace work?

By RodianClone, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Does it work at all?

Depends on who you ask.

Typically I think the answer is no.

Thanks!

I'd argue it requires holonet access - who actually send things in Hyperspace. Which means it works for Imperials.

Holonet is for long range. Shorter ranges can be achieved via a Hypercomm. So, if you're communicating with another world in your same sector of space, then you don't need the Holonet.

A hypercomm is just a form of Hyperwave Transceiver, which is a device used to connect to the Holonet.

What about trackers? Can a tracker that is placed on a ship in secret, be traced throgh hyperspace and across the Galaxy?

Jinkies! I think this mystery is solved!

It was Red Herring this whole time.
