THINKING ABOUT GETTING INTO THE GAME ????

By Xrishadowchaser, in UFS General Discussion

Hello All! I've been thinking about getting into UFS for a while now and was wondering if all you can still use the Sabertooth Games Cards that where released. The only reason I ask is one of my Gaming Stores has all their UFS product on sale atm. This would be a perfect time for me to get into the game if I can still use those cards. Thanks for the help!!

You can use cards released by Sabertooth Games, but the game goes through set rotation. Here are the legal sets as of right now:

- From Street Fighter: Domination, Deadly Ground

- From Darkstalkers: Realm of Midnight

- From SNK - The Cutting Edge, The King of Fighters 2006 (not to be confused with an earlier set that also included Samurai Shodown), Flames of Fame

- From Soul Calibur III: Flash of the Blades

- The Soul Calibur IV set

- The ShadoWar set (original property)

Promos that have a 4- (or 5-) point shuriken watermark or logo are legal, anything else is not unless it was reprinted, but there haven't been many reprints so it's almost negligible.

Thanks for the help! Does anyone know what starters are still legal? or are they just from the sets listed in previous post/

Basically, yes.

The legal starters are from The Cutting Edge, Domination, ShadoWar and Soul Calibur IV.

The characters are :

Sagat , Ken , Sakura . Akuma ,

Homarmu , Mai, Rock howard , yoshitoira

Nightmare , Seigfred , Ivy , Cerantez

Zi Mei , Yishan , Ragnar , Astrid

Is Nightmare anygood? and also if you don't care about how many boosters are needed to make decent decks along w/ the starters??

a starter and 2-5 boosters SHOULD be all you need, eventhough the set 12 starters are pretty much playable out of the box; do note though if you buy a Rock or a Mai deck they have a banned card in them; Rock has Noble Scion of the Odius Bloodline and Mai has Rejection; you'll have to put those into your trade box and wait for them to become legal again(doubt it would hapen with Scion). Nightmare is pretty competitive off of any of his symbols, his tricks are basically blowing his staging area up to blow his opponents up, his cards all eiher destroy foundations or give damage bonuses(usually tied to the number of cards destroyed that turn). You can actually build a very competitive deck with just commons, uncommons and 1-3 rares/urs/promos, ya need any help on deck building just drop me a line and i'll see what i can do for ya.

N.J.

Nightmare is pretty cool, but just be careful you don't blow up too much of your own foundations T_T.
