I know not everything's peaches and cream around here, but just because the game isn't where we want it to be just yet, doesn't mean we don't have anything to be positive about, right?

I for one think Soul Calibur IV is one of the best sets we've had in a long time.

It's got control check hack protection

It's got asset hate

It's got anti-discard

It introduces a new mechanic

It feels like it has a better distribution of uncommons (to me at least)

And lastly, it's character selection really runs the gambit: You've got a good guy, a bad guy, the old boss, the new boss, two babes, a monster, and a brand new character that showcases the new license.

So yeah, I'm not disappointed with the set to say the least.

Now for your feedback: What do you think is the best UFS set to-date and why?

We haven't had a thread like this in awhile so the answers have probably changed...and I'm not looking all the way back to bump the original one.

I think the new Soul Caliber is great a set if you can get some in. There is only one thing our store hasn't been able to bring in any of the set in since the middle of May. We have been able to Shadowar when ever we want, not complaining about that, but I to would like to open some more Soul Caliber packs. The Only place to get Soul Cal now is through CoolStuff. I want to support my store my two stores here in Calgary that I run events for, not a place that I haven't been to.

The best set is still Fortune and Glory. Every character had useful cards, all of which saw max tourney play.

My personal choice for best set would be KOF 2006 (Set 10) by the same principle shinji used and fantastic commons all around and the rares weren't shabby at all. Oh and Hanzo *shifty eyes* ¬_`

Best set was Booster Box is SC4 imo.. Btw anyone wonder how un-epic opening a god pack of Tekken will be??

I agree with this. I wish they would have addressed Feline Spike and the Box Topper a bit earlier... But other than that this set is rich with strong and useful attacks, which is what UFS should be about.

Plasma -> Ira -> Feline -> Darkness -> Shadow -> Float -> Mirage -> Midnight ... the list goes on and on.

I wish every set launched as many useful, effect laden, attacks.

ps. I love the foundations too! Miserable Existence, Antisocial, FoF, Program, etc. Good stuff.

I'm gonna go with the original SNK expansion, for introducing Desperation as well as having some truly epic cards. Either that or Fortune and Glory, for Luise, possibly my favourite character for Wind Aggro as she had cardpool-clearing and speed-pumping in one (and I liked my shiny Schmetterlings).
