[New FAQ] This MUST be done now

By PRODIGEE, in CoC General Discussion

At this point, is anyone other than FFG really arguing at this point that no cheating was involved? While I understand it's uncomfortable from a PR perspective, it's hardly unsubstantiated hearsay or conjecture, nor would I say it's "disrespectful" or "immature" just to reference to it at all. Some people certainly ARE immature about it, but let's not make blanket statements about everyone . . . a lot of people just care about fair play.

FFG was honest enough to admit their organized play wasn't up to snuff and do some reorganization as a result -- I would hope that they would also admit SOME form of shenanigans went on at the 2008 Championships, so people can move on.

Thank you Jeremy, for half of the post that should have been done a little less than a year ago. The other half should have gone along the lines of:

"We realize that there were some problems with this years championships and things could have been handled better. We apologize to all who participated in the chanpionship and especially to those most directly affect. We will make every effort to make sure these events do not repeat themselves in the future." Along with a nicely worded 'but it's too late now and the results will stand', that would have gone a LONG way to defuse the situation and make FFG tournaments look professionally run.

And thanks for confirming all my accounts are being deleted as I post and it's not some Mac/Firefox voodoo on these boards.

I will take being called immature as a personal insult, though. As Amante's post illustrates, more than a few people know there were 'goings on' last year and this isn't some childish vendetta. Also, I'm not accusing Scott of cheating, he admitted to stacking his deck. I'm just stating the facts as they happened. Is calling some on immature being respectful?

Also thanks to Hybrid and Amante, for bringing up valid points in this discussion and illustrating this isn't the fringe view of a few.

Are you sure? I still can see the original Donald as a friend. I found out using Firefox with this forum, especially when behind a NAT, requires to log in then to go in the primary forum folder (Forums link in the top right of the screen) in order to have the login acknowledged.
