Dutch Courage, Patsy

By BrooklynMike, in CoC Rules Discussion

What happens if Dutch Courage (+1 toughness) support card is in play, and a character takes a wound that would normally destroy it but Dutch Courage keeps it alive. Now Dutch Courage is somehow destroyed... does the character also die?

Can Patsy be sacrificed if he is exhausted?

While Dutch Courage is in play, it states :

Dutch Courage
-------------
Type : Support
Coût : 2
Sous-type : Item.
Characters you control gain Toughness +1.

In case it leaves play, the characters will loose the Toughness + 1. A character that have Toughness +1 must have a wound token on himself before a wound shouls kill him. If Dutch Cpourage disappears while a character owns a wound token, this character is wounded and may leaves play in case he did'nt have anymore toughness. this character is then destroyed and go to discard pile.

Patsy
-----
Type : Character
Coût : 1
Skill : 1
Icones :
Sous-type : Criminal.
Descriptif : Action: sacrifice Patsy to discard exactly 2 success tokens from a story with 4 or fewer total success tokens.

If you read carefully the statement of this effect, the character needn't have to be exhausted to use its "sacrifice" effect. So, it may be exhausted while you sacrifice it to remove the succes tokens, respecting the conditions.
