I don't know if this has been covered before, but like Luke had R2-D2, which other pilots had specific astromechs? I have been trying to find a list but havn't had any luck.

Off the top of my head:

Wedge - R2A3

Biggs - R2Q2, who looks the same as R2F2 in the game

Porkins - R5D8

Garven - R5K6

Corran - "Whistler"

Ekelarc Yong (a ywing pilot not in the game) - R5P9

I'm sure there's more, and I know Wedge used more than 1 droid, but that's all I got.

In the X-wing book series, Wedge had an R5-D2 named "Mynock", who eventually got an upgrade and became R5-G8, or "Gate".

R5-D8 works great with Porkins and makes his ability more useful.
