Well, I have a 120 point tournament coming up the week after my FLGS's store championship, so I will have very limited time to practice with whatever list I take. I also have no idea what to expect from the other entrants. I'm thinking of seeing if I can get away with this:

Whisper (Veteran Instincts, Fire Control System, Advanced Cloaking Device) [39]

Colonel Vessery (Veteran Instincts, Heavy Laser Cannon) [43]

Omicron Group Pilot (Darth Vader) [24]

Academy Pilot [12]

I've been trying to get this list working at 100 points for a while, with limited success. The jump to 120 seems to be a fairly large improvement, though. Vessery gets a HLC, giving me a second 4-dice attacker and making sure I don't lose almost all of my offensive potential if my opponent brings a PS10+ ship and murders Whisper with it. The Academy will serve as a handy distraction/blocker, and I even a 2 point initiative bid (though is that as big a deal at 120?).

What do you think my chances would be with this? Are there any improvements that could be made?
