One intersting type of character I like are the ones that have a way to gain spells but have to do something first (Druid, Priest, Alchemist, Dark Cultist, Gypsy, Knight (50% chance at church), Monk (1/3 chance at church) because I love having spells but its more fun if you have to "quest" to get them.

i was not very satisfied with my previous list, so i made some changes again..
i deleted the fun list, and i have add the thief, leprechaun and courtisan to my top 2 characters.
Really weird that the Assassin is in Rank 1. Most powerful, sure, when played RAW. But most interesting? Really? Dude has just one ability, period and all it does is remove risks. If going for power in rank 1, 2-4 people (Dwarf, Troll, Necromancer, OC) from Rank 4 should be up there or else the Assassin should be down in Rank 4.

You have a point. Assassin is not a interesting character, but he has powerful abilties
Maybe i need to give (the top 1) a other name then..

I put the Chivalric Knight on the top 4 list, and the Cleric on the top 3 list again
I want to give the Cleric a chance. She is balanced once she has a weapon 4/4, and with 3 fate, she has actually 6 lives..
I hope i see some play sessions from other players, how these characters will do in the game
The Wizard, merchant, warlock, lepcrechaun, minstrel, knight, philosopher, sage, monk and thief are some of my favorit characters, and fun to play.
The Alchemist is my favorite for winning, but I love playing the theif too, even though I hardly ever win with him. I like watching everyone run away from me.
So far, I only play with Grim Reaper and Sacred Pool expansions. So far, I think prophetess is my favorite, but I also like Elf. Sorceress is the best looking
Magus is the weirdest one, even though first time we played with him he won the game... hmmm.

I don't hate the magus, but he is boring as hell..
At least the Dread Knight and the Monk gets some love from me
But I need to be honest, there is one thing i like in Magus - its minis. I'm frequently using it, because I'm be able to pick someone's eye when using it.

The opponent will not pay attention to his own character
I have no love for the ghoul, but Monk is oke for me. Getting always a +3 strength is very good for a craft based character such as the monk
But i rather play with the Knight and the Elf indeed
I have not win with the elf yet
I must take my revenge..
I like to play as Elf, because possibly he is the weakest Talisman Character ever. Even Ghoul can at least revive his dead friends or Monk gets that +3 to S. And Elf only can teleport whithin Outer Region. He is not even able to enter Middle Region. Knight also needs special walking all around the Temple tactics.
I've never win the game using Elf or Knight either, even when I had the time when I was playing as them in many games in a row, while the rest friends randomly drawn their Characters.
I wish someday our Elf will win the game..........

. Str 2, you better keep them as trophies and boost up. Especially since, being a base game character, he can only use one raised follower per battle.

I have add the Dragon Hunter, and Dragon Priestess to the list.
I have put the Goblin Shaman in the top 3 now.He looks better now with the goblin+1 strength ability and the totem staff ability..(elliot's idea)

Dragon Hunter, Dragon Rider, and Conjurer are first choices for me..
Although, i must see how usefull the dragon rider is.
But we can assume that we see more dragons in the game now...
Minotaur looks pretty balanced, and his stampede ability makes his good and fun to play.
Fire wizard is a average character for me, and he can easily survive long enough, thanks to his pyroblast.
Conjurer can benefit from many cards. No trouble anymore for landing on a specific card. a very very good character!
