Its an oldie now but its anyone else playing 'State of Decay'

Played the demo ages ago and loved it but forgot about it til this month when i bought the full version.

Initially i was really annoyed by the 'constant world' mechanic but i've got round that by just resetting my system clock to one minute after i stopped playing the last session to stop the computer 'helpfully' sending out characters on suicidal missions while my machines off

Im loving the game now but im still only on my second base house and yet to really eplore the town in the south west or the area with 'jurassic junction'

Beat it last year...a little rough around the edges but still a **** good game. I actually enjoyed the "constant world" mechanic once I got used to it...kept it challenging.

What "second house" are you talking about? The one in town that the story points you to? Main piece of advice I have is move into the the trucking wearhouse on the edge of town as soon as you can. That's the best home base you can have till you cross the river and get toy the fairgrounds. Stockpile police cars and build the auto repair building too...those were overall the best and most useful cars in the game (but having a slight police background I might be a bit biased!!)

If you don't have lifeline I would recommend you get it as well...takes place outside of a major city and you are the military...that's not as easy as it sounds.

All in all I really enjoyed the game...played it for a good long while and have been meaning to revisit it.

Yeah im currently at the kirkmanresidence with a ring of outposts aroundit... dead safe so far.

Which bit of the map (compass directionwise) is the trucking place?

I don't remember...it's on the edge of town though...there is a gas station across one street and I think a restaurant across another...the place is HUGE and is surrounded by a chainlink fence you really can't Miss it...make a ring around the outermost rofe while still in town and you should spot it. If you leave your current base from a parking spot turn around and head down the street your bass is located on it should only be a few seconds away...if you hit that bridge you are going the wrong way....I liked being in the town. There was tons to do and supplies all over...but even that runs out eventually.

The fairgrounds across the river is loaded with ammo and guns as that's where the military was...and there a TON of police cars on that side of the river...but once you cross you never really have to go back outside of the random quest that you can choose to do or not do...
