3D Crates, terminals and better doors? Anything else?

By Murm3l, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Has anyone found affordable, good looking token replacements for IA yet? I've seen plenty of candidates for the crates, easy enough, but the terminals are harder. What have you guys replaced? The less cardboard _on_ the board the better right?

depending on where you are what you class as affordable here's a couple of places.

Some "hi-tech" consoles on the page.

opens on cargo hold section, but other pages have consoles as well.

Those are the quick links I had available. There are a few other 28mm scenery makers out there.

One option is search for Derby wargames show at Donnington. They Have a traders page (uk, but sometimes the companies have overseas stockists) a skim through that list will dig out some more. Or look up salute 2015, biggest wargames show in uk, they have a downloadable PDF trader guide which you could scan through.

I make my own since I have many many bitz boxes from all the different games over the years, but you could try something like this. There is even a file for printing onto transparency for a more realistic look.Screenshot_2015-04-01-19-06-35.png

If you want it, I can send it to you but there is tons of stuff like this online, you just have to look.

I highly recommend the Sedition Wars Terrain box. It includes multiple door, boxes, and terminals. Although half of them are techno-organic.

I ordered these. They look great from the pics and will look awesome once I paint them up.

They look excellent. Costs a ton to ship to EU though. The sedition wars terrain box looks like a good option as well.

I build 3D version of the Imperial Assault map templates.

Crates and terminals are very easy to replicate. The doors are even removable and customizable.
